ይህ ቦታ አዲስ አበባ ሲሆን እንደምታዩት ሰውዬው ከድልድዩ ላይ ሆኖ እየሸና ነው (ከዚህ በታች ያለውን ቪዲዮ ይመልከቱ)። ሰውዬው አንድ ዓይነት ሕመም ሊኖረው ይችላል ወይም ሽንት ቤት እስኪያገኝ ድረስ ሊይዘው አልቻለም ወይም በአካባቢው የሕዝብ መጸዳጃ ቤት የለም ሊባል ይቻላል. በአስተማማኝ ሁኔታ ደግሞ ማለት የሚቻለው በአዲስ አበባ ውስጥ በየቦታው መሽናት የሚያስከትለውን ውጤት ግምት ውስጥ ሳያስገባ መሽናት የተለመደ ነው ሊባልም ይቻላል። በሌሎች ሰዎች ላይ ያለውን ተጽእኖ ሳናገናዝብ፣ በየቦታው መሽናት በህግ ሊያስቀጣ የሚያስችል ወንጀል ነው። የሰብአዊ መብት ጉዳይ ነው። ብዙ አገሮች ይህን መሰል ጉዳይ የገንዘብ ቅጣት በማስቀመጥ ወይም ብዙ ሰዎች መሽናት በሚፈልጉበት አካባቢ እንደ ተንቀሳቃሽ መጸዳጃ ቤት በመገንባት ሌላ አማራጭ መፍትሄዎችን በመፍጠር ችግሩን ይቋቋሙታል።

ሰዎች በሕዝብ ቦታዎች መሽናታቸውን እንዲያቆሙ ሊነገራቸው ወይም ሊማሩ ይገባል። ሰዎች ጤናማ በሆነ አካባቢ ውስጥ የመኖር መብት አላቸው፣ ስለዚህ ይህ ጉዳይ የሰብአዊ መብት ጉዳይ ነው።

አንቀጽ 04 የሚደነግገው ይህንና የመሳሰሉት መብቶችን ነው

ይህ ግን በአዲስ አበባ የማይተገበር ይመስላል። ድሮ እንደሚባለው “በኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ በተሰበሰበበት ቦታ መብላት አሳፋሪ ነገር ነው፣ መፀዳዳት ግን አይደለም” ይባላል::

This place is in Addis Ababa, and as you can see the guy is urinating over the bridge (check the video below). The guy may have a sickness or be unable to hold it until he finds a toilet, or maybe there is no public toilet around the area. We can say safely also it is customary to urinate everywhere in Addis Ababa without considering its effect. Urinating everywhere without considering its impact on other people does not exist in a law-abiding country. It is a human rights issue See Article 04 in this doc. Many countries deal with this kind of issue by introducing a fine or by creating an alternative solution like building a mobile toilet around the area where many people tend to urinate. People must be alerted so that they stop urinating in public spaces. People do have the right to live in a healthy environment. However, it seems that this is not applicable in Addis Ababa.

As the saying goes “In Ethiopia eating in a public place is a shameful thing to do, but defecating is not.”
